
Students will :
1. Learn to perform data mining tasks using a data mining toolkit (such as open source WEKA).
2. Understand the data sets and data preprocessing.
3. Demonstrate the working of algorithms for data mining tasks such association rule mining, classification, clustering and regression.
4. Exercise the data mining techniques with varied input values for different parameters.

7. To make them understand the concepts of Project Management for planning to execution of projects.
8. To make them understand the feasibility analysis in Project Management and network analysis tools for cost and time estimation.

The objective of the courses is to develop in-depth knowledge for the following:
▪ Various renewable energy resources available at a location and assessments of its potential, using tools and techniques.
▪ Solar energy radiation, its interactions, measurement and estimation
▪ Site selection for wind turbines, wind systems, measurements and instruments
▪ Develop and read hydrographs, estimate flow, head, and power
▪ Geothermal, wave, tidal and OTEC resources, site selection etc.

At the end of course, the student will be able to understand
1 Explain and discuss issues in mobile computing and illustrate overview of wireless telephony and channel allocation in cellular systems.
2 Explore the concept of Wireless Networking and Wireless LAN.
3 Analyse and comprehend Data management issues like data replication for mobile computers, adaptive clustering for mobile wireless networks and Disconnected operations.
4 Identify Mobile computing Agents and state the issues pertaining to security and fault tolerance in mobile computing environment.
5 Compare and contrast various routing protocols and will identify and interpret the performance of network systems using Adhoc networks.

This course gives an introduction to methods and theory for development of data warehouses and data analysis using data mining. Data quality and methods and techniques for preprocessing of data. Modeling and design of data warehouses. Algorithms for classification, clustering and association rule analysis. Practical use of software for data analysis.
